Spartan 66 Player Ranking #57

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #57.

SD Ranking: #57

Dana Dixon

Position: Defensive Back

Exp: Redshirt Freshman

Dixon opened some eyes with his strong showing on Scout teams last fall. At 6-foot-2, 170-pounds, Dixon has the height to compete with the tall wide receivers in the Big Ten but will need to continue to get thicker and stronger. Should be pushing those ahead of him this fall and give the Spartans something on special teams.

Strengths: Athletic ability, work ethic and desire.

Weakness: Youth getting solid game reps.

Overall: Has the tools to be a solid player but must continue to work hard. Earning the Jim Adams Award last season shows he's caught the coaches eyes with his work ethic and desire to do what is needed to help the program.

Why He Made The List: Dixon is a player who will fight for playing time but may still be a season away from reaching his overall potential. Will be pushed by those in front of him and behind him coming into the program.
