Spartan 66 Player Ranking #53

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #53.

SD Ranking: #53

Anthony Rashad White

Position: Defensive Tackle

Exp: Junior College (3 years left)

With a serious need for players along the defensive line the Spartans found one with some experience and also size. A lot will still be determined in what White will provide in his first season, but he's big enough and strong enough to compete right away.

Strengths: Physical size, strength.

Weakness: Conditioning, control weight.

Overall: White is a player that should be expected to come into the program and compete the first day. At 6-foot-2, 310-pounds, White moves well for a player his size to go with tremendous strength to provide a source of power up the Spartans middle. A good frame for when the team uses some 3-4 defensive schemes as he'll be able to be part of a 3-man front and take on double teams.

Why He Made The List: With three years left to play, White already has two years under his belt at Junior College. He's seasoned and should provide a player that can play early in the program.
