Spartan 66 Player Ranking #48

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #48.

SD Ranking: #48

Corey Freeman

Position: Defensive End

Exp: Sophomore

Freeman is the type of player who Mark Dantonio loves to work with. Over the past several years, Dantonio and Pat Narduzzi have used low pad level players at the defensive end position that can get off the line. Freeman is that type of player.

Strengths: Athletic ability, burst.

Weakness: Height, bulk

Overall: Freeman is the type of player that has always excelled in the Spartans type of defense. While he still needs to add some bulk, he's got the tools to play at a high level.

Why He Made The List: Much should be expected out of Freeman during his college career. A lot of teams went after him hard and the Spartans used the relationship they built during his high school recruiting to get him to East Lansin. It's now a matter of him putting it all together.
