Spartan 66 Player Ranking #41

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #41.

SD Ranking: #41

Isaiah Lewis

Position: Safety

Exp: High School

Despite Lewis coming from high school, we feel he's got the tools to compete early during his career. Will it be this fall? That will be answered in camp, but don't be surprised if Lewis is pushing for time and getting snaps on special teams as well.

Strengths: Athletic ability, cover skills

Weakness: Strength and experience.

Overall: One of a few members of the class of 2010 that Mark Dantonio feels could play early in his career. All the tools are there and they'll be refined once he's starts working with Harlon Barnett and Dantonio who takes a hand on approach with his defensive backs.

Why He Made The List: Depending upon the play of those already on the roster Lewis will get an early shot of playing. If things are shored up the Spartans coaching staff will need to consider holding onto the year for future use.
