Spartan 66 Player Rankings #35

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #35.

SD Ranking: #35

Patrick White

Position: Safety / Corner

Exp: Redshirt Freshman

After redshirting last season, Patrick White will be looked upon to make a move on the depth chart. With good size and skills, White had a solid spring and will need to continue working on improving his ball skills.

Strengths: Athletic player who can make plays.

Weakness: Game experience.

Overall: One of the weaknesses in last year's team was the play of the defensive backs. That should change this fall and White is a main reason for the coaching staff's expectations of improvement. While he'll have to battle for time on the field, White has the ability to be a difference maker.

Why He Made The List: White is one of the guys Mark Dantonio worked hard to get into the fold and he should start to pay off this season. While he's still an unproven player at the college level, Patrick White should play an important role and gain major experience that will carry over the following three seasons of his career.
