AJ Jordan Gives The Latest

Ohio wide receiver holds an offer from Michigan State along with twenty other schools. What is he thinking about right now? Spartan Digest has the latest.

With several "Big Name" wide receivers holding offers from Michigan State, it's time to talk with one who has high interest in the Spartans. A.J. Jordan of Trotwood (Ohio) Madison High School has all the tools to be a good one, but Michigan State will have to fight to get him on campus.

"Things are going pretty good right now and my last offer was from Michigan State," Jordan told Spartan Digest. "I've got twenty-one offers right now but don't have a Top Five. Some schools stand out but I'm not ready to say just who yet."

While Jordan is not sure where he'll camp in the coming month, he's pretty sure it won't be in East Lansing.

"I'm sure I'll go to a few camps with Coach Douglass and then try to go to a few on my own. I don't think I'll get to Michigan State, but I want to get up there for a visit and check things out."

What are the things Jordan is looking for?

"It will have a lot to do with the coaches and where I feel the most comfortable. I've got to be able to see myself there for the next four or five years."

As for how far away he's willing to look, Jordan knows there is a good chance he'll put some distance between him and home.

"Distance doesn't bother me. I don't want to be too far, but at the same time I don't want to be too close to home."

As for a timetable to end his recruiting?

"I would like to have it done before my senior season, but I've got to find the right school before I'll end it."

With track just finishing up, Jordan knows this summer could bring more offers. With the frame college coaches look for and speed to burn, Jordan would be a welcomed addition to the Spartans Class of 2011.
