Spartan 66 Player Ranking #31

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #31.

SD Ranking: #31

Antonio Jeremiah

Position: Offensive Guard

Exp: Redshirt Junior

Much has been expected of Antonio Jeremiah since he signed out of high school. While fans have seen a glimpse of his talent, he's yet to show what made him one of the top prospects just a few years ago. Started out as a nose tackle but saw a move back to offensive line and needs to pick up the pace and earn a starting position.

Strengths: Athletic ability and pure strength

Weakness: Weight control and work ethic.

Overall: While most players' battle depth charts, Antonio Jeremiah has fought himself. With his weight high, Spartan fans have yet to see the full ability he brings to the field. Jeremiah has all the tools to be a player who can play on Sunday's. But he's yet to show the things needed to be great. The clock is ticking and if he's not ready for camp he soon could be watching another year go by.

Why He Made The List: I've watched Antonio since he was in high school and my concern then is my concern still today. Jeremiah picked the right program to play for as he would be given the chance to get in shape and could play on either side of the ball. The talent is there and he's just got to show he really wants to be great. In the end Jeremiah could move up the list or down. We'll have to wait and see who shows up.
