"I really wanted to camp at Michigan State and show them what I can do," Knight told Spartan Digest. "I've got some friends there and Michigan State would be a school I'd have a lot of interest in if they would offer. But after talking with my family and coaches I just can't pass up a trip I'm going to take out of the country during the time they have camp."
For Knight who camped at Cincinnati on Monday, missing the Spartans camp is painful but he knows he may never get a chance to visit the Czech Republic again.
"We had a kid at our school from the Czech Republic. So we're going over there to see how he lives and play about five basketball games while there. It's a once in a lifetime trip and one that I'd look back at being mad at myself it I didn't take."
While Knight has several offers he still open to looking at programs that have interest in him.
"I've visited with Indiana and Central Michigan. Each would be very highly ranked, but I'm also considering all the schools I've got offers from and new schools that may offer. I hope to be in a position to make my choice around the start of my senior season."
While Knight may miss this weekend's camp, he knows he may have a chance to still impress the Michigan State staff in July.
SpartanDigest.com will check back with Kenny after he returns from his trip.
