Lang Commits to Michigan State

Michigan State picked up a commitment at a key position today as Mt. Lebanon (Pa.) tight end Paul Lang jumped at his recent offer from the Spartans.

Paul Lang, a 6'4, 220-lb tight end from Mount Lebanon (Pa.) committed to Michigan State today after picking up an offer from the Spartans after a stellar camp showing.

He held an offer from Toledo as well, and says that other schools were close to offering, but he decided he had found the place for him.

"I've been traveling these past couple weeks and seeing a bunch of schools, so I was at Michigan State last weekend and liked everything about it. First of all, like the coaches a lot. I like all the facilities, the campus, and it's not too far from my house. It's like five or six hours, which is not too bad, so my family can be close. I liked Big Ten football growing up, so that's another plus."

The Spartans have been looking for a tight end to bring in for this year's class and found it in Lang, and he thinks that may mean a chance to see the field early in his career.

"They didn't bring in a tight end this past year," he explained, "and they brought in two the year before that, but they said I'd have a chance to play early in my career."
