Spartan 66 Player Rankings #25

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #25.

SD Ranking: #25

Dion Sims

Position: Tight End

Exp: Sophomore

Coming off an All-Big Ten Freshman season, Dion Sims will look to continue to build upon the experience he gained last season. But while big things are expected out of Sims, could he be playing out of position? Sims has all the makings of being a big time offensive lineman who would have a chance for a big time pro career. Will a change come in 2010? We don't think so. But it is something to look at down the road.

Strengths: Physical size, strength and athletic ability.

Weakness: Could be playing out of position as he continues to grow.

Overall: Dion Sims has all the ability in the world and is just starting to tap into it all. Big things are expected out of Sims this fall and no one should be surprised if he's one of the top players on the Spartans roster.

Why He Made The List: It was hard listing Sims this low with all the natural ability he shows. But he's still a work in progress and should be bigger and stronger this fall. How big of a season will Sims have? It should be really big if the spring was any indication.
