Would Love To Stay Green

Looking to impress college coaches enough to earn a scholarship, Arjen Colquhoun is looking to see if he can stay green. We get the latest from the Canadian speedster about his interest in Michigan State.

Taking a page from Kermit the Frog, Windsor, Ontario native Arjen Colquhoun is hoping his performance at Michigan State's next senior camp will provide him the chance to stay green.

"Michigan State is a great school and I've liked them since I was a little kid," Colquhoun told Spartan Digest. "My high school colors are green and I'd like to stay green. Coach Narduzzi invited me to their next camp in July and I'm planning on attending and showing what I can do."

While Arjen has yet to earn an offer, his performances at two recent camps have opened some eyes.

"I attended Ohio State and ran a 4.43 forty. I just came from Notre Dame and had a vertical jump of 38.5 and ran a 4.27 shuttle."

With his expressed desire for a Spartans offer, Colquhoun is no stranger to MSU having visited last season.

"I went for an unofficial visit last season for the Central Michigan game. Michigan State has been talking with me for a couple of months and telling me all about the campus and the upcoming camp."

One of Arjen's biggest supporters is his coach Harry Lumley.

"I've had some guys who are now playing in the NFL. Arjen is a special talent and a special kid. I've taken him to a few camps this spring and summer and everywhere he goes coaches really like what they see."

Spartan Digest will follow up with Arjen following his camp visit with MSU.
