Position: Defensive End
Exp: Redshirt Sophomore
Tyler Hoover will be counted on to take his game to another level this fall as he gained great experience last season and is now entering his third season in the program. Last year Hoover showed why Mark Dantonio and staff wanted the Novi (Michigan) product and now he'll have the pressure to produce with Trevor Anderson having graduated.
Strengths: Physical size, Athletic ability.
Weakness: Can he take his game to the level expected?
Overall: Hoover showed he's got the ability to play with his time on the field last season. Now he must show he's capable of being a starter week in and week out. If he can do that he'll give the Spartans a much needed boost. If not he'll be a solid role player spelling the person in front of him. Right now he looks good enough to be a "Primetime" performer.
Why He Made The List: With Trevor Anderson now gone, Tyler Hoover is a player who must take his game to another level if Michigan State is to have a successful season. The ability is there and it's just a matter of continuing to build upon his game.
