Cousins Selected For Manning Watch List

Michigan State quarterback Kirk Cousins has become the 14th quarterback named to the 2010-11 Manning Award Watch List.

Kirk Cousins played a key role in the success seen by Michigan State last fall. Because of his performance much is expected from the Holland (MI) native when the Spartans take the field this fall.

Last season saw Cousins start 12 games and throw for over 2,600 yards, 19 touchdowns and just nine interceptions. With a pass efficiency rating of 142.6 Cousins ranked third in the Big Ten and 25th nationally.

Not only has Cousins earn the respect of those he competes against, he's also earned the respect of his teammates and coaches having been named a team captain last season. This marked only the second time in school history a sophomore earned such a honor.
