Spartan 66 Player Rankings #13

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We're now at player #13.

SD Ranking: #13

Johnny Adams

Position: Defensive Bac

Exp: Redshirt Sophomore

After suffering an injury Johnny Adams looks to show why many feel he's a major weapon on the defensive side of the ball. Projected as the starter at field corner, Adams will look to give the Spartans a solid and productive player capable of making big plays for a spot the Spartans showed weakness at last season.

Strengths: Big play making ability.

Weakness: Stay healthy.

Overall: To say Johnny Adams is a player Michigan State needs to rebound from last season is an understatement. The Akron (Ohio) Butchtel product showed early in his career that he's got the skills to be a major player in the Big Ten. Last season the loss of Adams after three games proved to be a major loss.

Why He Made The List: Johnny Adams will play a major role in Michigan State having a big season. Last season the defensive backs took a beating, now with Adams and his big play ability, Spartan fans should have high hopes of Adams earning this ranking or show he needed to be ranked even higher.
