SD Ranking: #9

D.J. Young

Position: Offensive Tackle

Exp: 5th Year Senior

Fifth-year senior, who will be looked upon to provide leadership and protect Kirk Cousins blindside. Making the move from the right side to the left went well in the spring and should continue to mold into the position as camp heads towards the season. Must be solid in every phase of the game and looked upon as the top offensive lineman for the Spartans this season.

Strengths: Great size and physical ability to go with experience.

Weakness: Must prove he can be solid on the left side of the offensive line.

Overall: The importance of D.J. Young and his performance can and will be a difference maker in the success Michigan State will have in 2010. With his college experience, and willingness to be a team player, Young is the key to the Spartans having a solid offensive line .

Why He Made The List: Placing D.J. at the #9 spot is the faith many have in him being capable of getting the job done at a high level. He has major game experience and the ability to get the job done. While there are question marks about the offensive line as a whole, Young is not one of them.
