Spartan 66 Player Rankings #6

In looking at players on the current roster and players getting ready to enter Michigan State this fall, presents its Spartan 66 Rankings. What is our reason for naming sixty-six Spartans? Michigan State last won a National Championship in 1966. We are now at player #6.

SD Ranking: #6

B. J. Cunningham

Position: Wide Receiver

Exp: Redshirt Junior

Like his running mate Mark Dell, all the talent is there for Cunningham to be one of the best in the Big Ten. After getting caught up in the off field mess, Cunningham returned to spring practice and showed n the spring game to be a weapon the Spartans offense will continue to look for.

Strengths: Big play ability, game experience, physical ability.

Weakness: Get better yardage after the catch.

Overall: How good are the Michigan State wide receivers? Really good… With Mark Dell, Keshawn Martin, and Cunningham, Kirk Cousins knows he will have several targets to spread the ball around to in 2010..

Why He Made The List: Having watched Cunning ham during his high school career and now his college career, I still feel we have not seen the player he's capable of becoming. He is close to it, and 2010 could prove to be the season where it all comes together and he becomes one of the elite receivers in the Big Ten.
