Walker Focused On Season

For Aundrey Walker the start of his senior season has been one of growth and potential. At 6-foot-6, 330-pounds, Walker has the physical size college coaches love to see. But his game is not complete and Walker knows he must continue working to reach the potential many see in front of him. SpartanDigest.com spoke with Walker after his teams win in the Herbstreit Classic.

Aundrey Walker is one of the top prospects on the board out of Ohio. While many have Ohio State as the team to beat, Walker continues to claim Michigan State is a school that has caught his attention. Where is Walker with the Spartans?

"I'm thinking of taking an official visit to Michigan State, it is a great school and I love it."

One reason for the serious interest in Michigan State is the relationship that has been built with Spartans offensive line coach Dan Roushar.

"Coach Roushar and I talk all the time by email, everyday and talk every chance we get and he is such a great guy and we are the best of friends."

One thing Walker is looking to get done is set up an official visit with the Spartans.

"I do not know yet, but I'm going to try and get up there soon. I really like Michigan State."

As for his teams victory over Dwyer High School, Walker knows this game is a team game.

"It was a great game, we are the best team so we came out on top. I have to give thanks to my teammates and to God because without them this is not possible."

Sitting now with a record of 2-0 in back-to-back games that came down to the very end, Walker knows this last season is one that could have it's bumps in the road.

"It was just another bump in the road we had to go over, it was tough but we played our hearts out."

Walker will continue to work towards helping his team return to the Ohio State Championship game this fall and allow the recruiting to take care of it self.
