Ladies and Gentleman,
As many of you may or may not remember, a few years back I was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Disease. Hodgkin's Disease is a very treatment form of Lymphoma... a blood cancer that affects the lymph nodes. I've been in remission for about three years now, but recently the company that I work for (my day job... not GBW...) has decided to participate in the Light the Night fundraiser for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society... a cause that is obviously very personal to me.
To help raise funds, I've obtained a pair of tickets to the Michigan vs. Michigan State game at Michigan Stadium this October. Tom has agreed to let me host a raffle for those tickets here on GBW, and I'm hoping that my GBW brethren will help me raise funds to help find a cure for this awful disease once and for all. Here are the three simple rules...
1. All donations must be made by October 13. This allows me time to work out ticket delivery to the winner.
2. A donation of $15 gets your name added to the raffle. A donation of $30 gets your name added three times. A donation of $50 gets your name added six times.
3. I plan on also raffling off tickets to other games (Lions, Red Wings... and even Ohio football games...), so to make sure I enter your name into the right raffle.... on the donation page click on the "add comment" tab and type "Go Blue" as your comment.
Below I've attached a link to the donation page that I was given through the Light the Night program. Please... give generously. I've never really reached out back to the GBW... but this is a cause that's very personal to me... Good Luck!
