ND took the opening kickoff to the ND 29.
U-M got a personal foul on the first play to the ND 47.
On 3rd down Zack Rudolph caught the pass to the U-M 39.
On 2nd down, ayne Crist ran it to the U-M 19.
On 3rd down, ND got called for a block in the back back, but then completed a pass to the U-M 7.
On 2D, ND completed the pass to Rudolph for the TD, but it was reviewed and the ball was put down on the 6 inch line. On 3rd down, Crist snuck it in for the TD at the 11:19 mark .. but got his bell wrung.
Notre Dame 7, Michigan 0
The kickoff was a touchback - 20 yard line.
On 2nd down Denard Robinson hit Tay Odoms to the 31.
On the next series Kevin Koger dropped it on 3rd down at the 9:07 mark.

Wiill Hagerup punted it 49 yards, returned 9 yards to the ND 24.
With frosh sub Tom Rees in the lineup at QB (Drist having trouble seeing out of right eye), On 2nd down Jonas Mouton intercepted at the ND 40 and returned it to the U-M 30 at the 8:12 mark.
On the first play Denard hit Roy Roundtree over the middle, wide open, for a run-pass into the end zone at the 8:06 mark.

Notre Dame fair caught it the kickoff at the ND 18.
ND went 3 and out.
Jeremy Gallon fair caught the 38 yard punt at the U-M 44 at the 6:19 mark.
U-M went 3 and out.
Notre Dame #4
A 33 yard punt went out of bounds at the ND 21 at the 4:43 mark.
With Nate Montana in at QB, ND went 3 and out.
The 44 yard punt rolled to the U-M 35 at the 3:06 mark.
On 1st down Denard hit for 9, on 2nd down Denard fumbled but VIncent Smith recovered at the ND 45.
On the next play, Denard hit Tay Odoms at the ND 32.
On the next play Denard hit Odoms for 31 to the 1 yard line.
On 1st down Stephen Hopkins took it in at the 1:26 mark.
Michigan 14, Notre Dame 7

Notre Dame took the kickoff to the ND 26.
Montana in again, on 2nd down he ran to the ND 36.
FIRST QUARTER STATS:
Michigan gained 115 yards, 87 on the ground, 28 in the air
Notre Dame gained 91 yards, 55 rushing, 39 passing
Michigan scored 14, Notre Dame scored 7.
Notre Dame stalled and had to punt at the ND 44.
Gallon fair catched the punt at the U-M 8 at the 14:35 mark.
On 1st down Denard ran it to the U-M 44.
There the drive stalled and U-M had to punt at the 12:53 mark.
Notre Dame #6
The Hagerup punt went 49 yards into the end zone, touchback to the ND 20.
On 2n down ND completed a pass at the ND 38.
There the drive stalled at the 10:08 mark.
The ND punt bounced to the U-M 14.
On 1st down Denard threw to Odoms to the 35.
On 2nd down Denard ran it to midfield, and got shaken up.
With Devin Gardner in for one play then Denard back, the drive stalled.
Notre Dame #7
Hagerup punted it short to the ND 25 at the 7:35 mark.
On first down ND ran it to the ND 37.
On the next play ND ran it to the ND 47.
On the next play J.T. Floyd intercepted it at the U-M 37 at the 6:36 mark.
On 1st down a clip moved it back to the U-M 25, and U-M went 3 and out at the 6:01 mark.

The Hagerup punt went 49 yards to the ND 28.
ND passed 7, then ran 7 to the ND 41.
There the drive stalled at the 3:58 mark.
The ND punt was downed at the U-M 2.
Denard ran it twice and Smith once to the 13.
After an incompletion, Denard ran it 87 for the TD at the 1:56 mark.
Michigan 21, Notre Dame 7
The kickoff was a touchback.
On 2nd down ND completed a pass to the U-M 39.
A penalty took it the the U-M 43.
ND completed a pass to the U-M 3 with 3 seconds left.
ND went for it on the last play, incomplete.

Denard had 10 carries for 174 yards and an 87yard TD; passing he was 7-17 for 107 yards and a 31 yard TD to Roy Roundtree.
