Paul Gaughan's senior season isn't off to the start he was expecting. His Dunmore squad has started off the year with a disappointing 1-2 record.
"Were a power team that likes to run the ball," said Gaughan. "We lost to North Pocono in week 1 and West Scranton this week. We lost both games by a total of 5 points."
Since the live evaluation period kicked off on September 1st, there has been no shortage of attention coming for the 6'6" 280 left tackle.
Despite all the attention, only one college program is sure to get a visit from Gaughan at this time.
"Boston College is the only team I've set an official visit up with. I'll be there on October 2nd for the Boston College-Notre Dame game."
Michigan got involved with Gaughan a few months ago when they officially offered in mid June. Are the Wolverines still in the race?
"Coach Braithwaite is recruiting me, we talk once a week. We talked about setting up an official visit in December."
Gaughan, who was on the Michigan campus in July for an unofficial visit, shared his firsthand impressions on the Wolverine program.
"Michigan is one of the best colleges of all time. They have great tradition. The strength and conditioning coach (Mike Barwis) is something else; he's a good guy though."
Gaughan doesn't plan to make a decision until he takes some official visits. He has a few factors in mind that will play into his college selection.
"I just want to be comfortable. I want a place where I fit in with the players and the coaching staff. I'm looking for coaching stability."
