Sam Webb: So how and when did Michigan get on you?
Nicholas Law: "My coach told me they were interested I guess. They heard my name by word of mouth and the coach checked out my highlight tape and he was stunned by what he seen. He said I fit perfect for his scheme."
Sam Webb: (Laughter) Okay, let's pretend Nick Law is the coach or the scout up in the stands and you're watching yourself doing your thing on the field… tell me what is going to stun me?
Nicholas Law: "I hit like a linebacker, I'm faster than most people, and I'm smart. When I catch the ball on defense, I can take it to the house."
Sam Webb: What does your record look like? Are you all in the playoffs?
Nicholas Law: "Naw man. We're doing terrible."
Sam Webb: (Laughter) What about you individually? Do you know what your stats are so far this year?
Nicholas Law: "I really don't know my stats. I had one interception this year. I probably got five or six pass deflections. I think I got five forced fumbles, probably two fumble recoveries, and all the way up to week six I had 13 tackles every game."
Sam Webb: What is your height, weight and 40 time?
Nicholas Law: "I'm 6'3", weight 190 and 40 is around a 4.47."
Sam Webb: You've narrowed your list to a top five. Are any one of those schools sticking out for you above the rest?
Sam Webb: Is distance from home going to be a factor for you at all?
Nicholas Law: "I doubt it."
Sam Webb: Is your family going to okay with you going away with you going away from home like that?
Nicholas Law: "Yeah my family is okay with it."
Sam Webb: Obviously, Michigan is not in your top five right now. If they were to step forward and show you some serious love, are you going to seriously consider them or is it kind of late for them right now?
Nicholas Law: "I would consider them. I never let go of an opportunity, I'm going to do my research and see what's up with the Wolverines."
Sam Webb: What would they have to do for instance to get a visit out of you?
Nicholas Law: "I'm really not sure. I guess it all depends on me. I'm going to do my research and try to build a relationship with the coach and see where it goes from there."
Sam Webb: Have you talked to any of the coaches yourself yet or has it just been your coach talking to them?
Nicholas Law: "I recently talked to Coach Dews, the receiver coach."
Sam Webb: What's was the vibe like with him?
Nicholas Law: "He seemed like everything was cool. He showed my film to the other coaches there and they liked me a lot. They wanted me to get up there as soon as possible. It just seemed like a great opportunity."
Sam Webb: What do you think of the season Michigan has had so far?
Nicholas Law: "I think it is an improvement from last year. You got to start somewhere and it is a great start."
Sam Webb: So tell me, what are going to the most significant factors in your choice when you sit down and make your decision?
Nicholas Law: "The most significant factor is probably going to be location. I want to go to a place where it is a family, a winning tradition, because I hate losing. I hate losing. A chance to play early and a great coaching staff, genuine people that care about you."
Sam Webb: What do you mean when you say location?
Nicholas Law: "I'm a city boy. I'm a city boy. I don't know how to explain it. I just cannot be in the middle of nowhere (laughter). Do you understand what I'm saying? I got to have something to do. You got football and that all you can be doing but I can't be bored. I got to love it. I just got to love the college I'm at. If football don't go right, I got to love it as a student."
Sam Webb: If you could pick a time to have this all over with, when would it be?
Nicholas Law: "I really don't know. By the time I finish taking the majority of my official visits."
