Fisher Making Contingency Plans

Michigan's "soft" verbal commitment chatted with GoBlueWolverine and gave his quick reactions to the hire and discussed his upcoming visit plans elsewhere.

Jake Fisher is like the rest of the Michigan recruiting class. He has very limited knowledge of the Wolverines new coach, Brady Hoke.

"I actually do not anything about him except that he's coached at Ball State, San Diego State, and Michigan before that," Fisher told GoBlueWolverine. "I'm looking forward to getting to meet him real quick and basing my decision on that."

As far his his commitment status is concerned, FIsher was more tight-lipped about that.

"I don't have a comment on that at the moment," he said

Fisher's plans to visit Michigan State this weekend and other campuses in the following weeks gives a little more insight into where things stand

"I just want to make sure I have a back up plan just in case it doesn't work with Michigan or something along those lines," the four-star lineman explained. "I'm going Florida the weekend of the 21st and Oregon on the 28th. I hope to make it to Michigan sometime too."

In the meantime, Fisher will touch base with Coach Singletary of the Wolverines tonight to learn more about the goings-on in Ann Arbor.

"I'm going to be talking to him shortly and I talked to him a little bit before the official hire. I still have to talk to him really quick."

Fisher knows what he'd like to hear from Coach Singletary.

"Positive things," he said. "Just positive stuff."
