Frank Clark, an all around athlete from Cleveland (OH) Glenville, took in his last official visit this weekend to Ann Arbor to check out Michigan and everything the Wolverines had to offer.
"Without a question I had a great time at the school, and the atmosphere at
Michigan was just great," Clark told GoBlueWolverine. "I just enjoyed
myself and my time with coaches, and the Ravens coach (Greg Mattison) knows
what he's talking about. He knows players. It's pretty big.
huge. I've never had that feeling, the whole atmosphere of the stadium and
The Big House certainly had a major impact in Clark's eyes.
"It was like a dream," Clark recalled. "It was bigger than an NFL stadium.
It was like, wow, and this is huge and it's sold out every game. It's just,
wow. I can definitely see myself playing in there."
Clark who had originally been offered by the old staff at Michigan, got to
spend time with Brady Hoke and the new staff and had a surprising
"He made me feel more wanted actually. He told me that I was like his

Clark also spent time with new defensive coordinator Greg Mattison, and
Mattison made sure that Clark knew how badly he was wanted in Ann Arbor.
"We talked about everything. He stayed on me the whole weekend. He just
kept saying we need this kid and he needs this kid on my team. The Ravens
are my favorite defensive team, so when I heard the Raven's coach was coming
to be the coach, I was so shocked -- it was unbelievable."
Hosting Clark was one of the Wolverines red-shirt freshmen as well as a slew
of other teammates.
"I was with Cam Gordon. Denard and Devin were saying Cam and I were just
alike so they were calling me Cam Jr. all weekend. They were saying if you
play ball, you come here; and they wouldn't lie to me."
The time spent with the team was a big advantage for the Maize and Blue and
had a profound impact on Clark himself.
"Oh yeah, most definitely. I bonded with them more than any other people on
All in all, the Wolverines put themselves in a very good spot for the chance
to land Clark.
"It basically put Michigan in a position that I could choose to attend in
