His Recruiting Story
Delonte ended his recruitment process early, mostly because he was a known commodity by the Wolverine coaching staff and they recruited him early. Playing beside dynamic players such as Boubacar Cissoko and Dior Mathis drastically helped him get noticed on the collegiate level. He continually showed-out at any camp, and almost all in attendance noted his physicality and footwork. He constantly matched up against top receivers in skill and 7-on-7 events and provided outstanding cover skills. More often than not he came out on top of the exchange. Though his recruitment was short before he selected Michigan, he also had offers or interest from Central Michigan, Illinois, Iowa, and Michigan's in-state rival Michigan State.

In his senior year at Cass HS Hollowell's rarely tested the defensive back. None the less he completed the season with 47 tackles, 13 break ups, two fumble recoveries and two sacks.

His Commitment Comments
"I decided to do it because it has always been my dream school. I like the school and the environment and that's what made me decide to commit."

GoBlueWolverine Commentary
Physical cornerback with a lot of game experience. Has good technique and is rarely out of position. Has track speed, and good hips to turn and run with receivers down field. Good in press coverage, and can play up on the line or off man. Hollowell is a stronger kid who hits hard and can tackle. Height may be a concern, which causes him to lose in some jump ball situations. Overall, his ball skills are good and he has sure hands.
