Recruiting Prospects Spotted At Spring Scrimmage

Not as many perhaps as if there was an 'actual' Spring Game, but more top kids than I expected!

- Quarterback Mike Vlahogeorge (6-4, 220 lbs.) from Lafayette, Ind., Jefferson. As a junior he passed for 4,285 yards and 37 touchdowns. He is one of's top 13 drop back quarterbacks.

- Quarterback Adam Thrash (6-5, 220 lbs., 4.8 in the 40, 3.2 GPA/18 ACT) from Little Rock, Ark, Pulaski. As a junior he completes 262-of-406 passes for 3,973 yards with 48 touchdowns. He is one of's top 15 drop back quarterbacks

- Offensive lineman Jon Skinner (2002 U-M Camper, 6-4, 280 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 385 lb. bench press) from Mount Carmel, Pa. His junior year he tore his ACL in the third game of the season, but didn't get surgery until after his team won the Pennsylvania State Championship. He was a 2002 Michigan camper. He is one of's top twelve offensive tackles.

- DE Michael Massey (6-5, 235 lbs., 4.7 in the 40, 225-lb. bench press, 2.5 GPA) from Cleveland St. Ignatius. He is's #7 Defensive End.

- Tight end Chad Hoobler (6-4 1/2, 225 lbs., 4.7 in the 40) from Carrollton, Ohio. He is one of's top 6 tight ends.

- Coaches from Youngstown, Ohio, Ursuline -- but not offensive lineman Brandon Braxton (U-M offer, 6-8, 300 lbs.) who was taking a standardized test.

- Running back Jalen Parmele (6-0 and 200 lbs.) from Midland, Mich., Dow. As a junior he rushed for 1,253 yards on 147 carries (8.53 yards per carry) and 12 touchdowns.

- Offensive lineman Trent Varva (6-2, 300 lbs.) from Lake Orion, Mich.

- Det. Martin Luthor King prospects Bernard Faithful (6-3, 220 lbs.) and Wendal Brown (6-1, 220 lbs.)

- Tight end Jerry Wazkowski (6-3, 220 lbs.) from Cudahy, Wis.

- Kicker Mark Edwards (5-10, 175 lbs.) from Ind.

- Defensive lineman Josh Hunt (6-4, 230 lbs.) from Jackson, Mich., Lumen Christi.
