Jaquay Williams Connected to Michigan

Jaquay Williams out of Heard County high school in Georgia has a lot of confidence about what he can do on the field. He talks to GBW about his connection to Michigan, how he feels about all the schools recruiting him, and why he thinks a certain all pro cornerback can't handle him.

6'4" wide receiver Jaquay Williams is very sure of what he can do on the football field. He feels that his skills allow him to perform at a high level -- so cornerbacks beware.

"I feel like no one can defend me when I am out there on the field," he told GoBlueWolverine.

Now before you start thinking this is some cocky kid popping off at the mouth, he is not that type of young man. He has humbleness about him with an edge of confidence mixed in.

Colleges are making their way down to Georgia to see what this football prospect is all about.

There is one school that he has become very well connected to through a family member that talks to him all the time about them.

"Carlos Brown, my cousin, talks to me about Michigan all the time. He tells me it is the best school to go for education and football -- it is the place to be."

Jaquay would certainly like to know even more about the Wolverines and their new coaching staff.

"My coach told me that I was offered, but I would like to talk with the coaches more. I will be visiting Michigan in the summer for their football camp."

Williams has been receiving close to 75 pieces of mail from colleges in a span of just a few days. Just knowing that colleges are interested leaves him in a thankful state of mind.

"It feels good that schools want me. I really appreciate the fact that they are looking at me and wanting me to play for them."

With well over 15 offers on his plate he is wide open on schools that he is looking at.

"I am looking at all the schools that are looking at me. I have no favorites at this time. I am just really having fun with this experience."

As was stated earlier he believes in what he can do on the football. So recently he talked with a certain all-pro cornerback to let him know how he feels about a one on one match up.

"I tell my cousin Darrelle Revis all the time he cannot stick me; we talk from time to time and laugh about it."

Has Darrelle given you any advice about football?

"Yes. He tells me to stay humble and to make sure when I am anywhere not to do anything that I will regret."
