Offensive lineman Jon Skinner (2002 U-M Camper, 6-4, 280 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 385 lb. bench press) from Mount Carmel, Pa. tore his ACL in the third game of his junior season, but he didn't get surgery until after his team won the Pennsylvania State Championship. He was a 2002 Michigan camper. And he is one of MaxEmfingerRecruiting.com's top twelve offensive tackles. He made an unofficial visit for Saturday's Final Sprimmage.
Tell us a little about your Michigan visit:
"It was real good, it was nice. The campus was nice, and I liked the coaching staff. I was supposed to talk to Coach Carr, but he was still talking to the press when we left. I talked to Coach Moeller, Coach Boccher, and most of the other coaches as well. I sat in on meetings in the morning. Coach Boccher is coming to my school in May."
What are your summer plans?
"I probably won't be able to come to the Michigan Camp, this summer because of my knee; it's not supposed to be 100% until July."
Who are your favorites?
"I'm not really sure about a number one, but I like Michigan, Pitt, Penn State, and Virginia Tech ... I've been to all of them except Virginia Tech."
However, Mount Carmel head coach Mike Brennan told yours truly, "I'd say Jon hopes to have the opportunity to go to Michigan."
Jon adds, "Its a possibility that I'll decide early, we'll see how everything goes."
