Touching Base With The Freemans

I called the Marcus Freeman home to find out what Ohio's top linebacker (and perhaps top prospect overall) was going to do next weekend: U-M Nike, or PSU Nike, etc.

Once again, the Big-Ten-area Nike Camps are the same weekend (next Saturday) as OSU's spring game. So Ohio prospects this year have to choose between Saturday's U-M Nike and the OSU Spring Game, or possibly make the trek the next day into the Appalachians of Northern Pennsylvania for Sunday's PSU Nike. We called the home of Marcus Freeman (planned U-M Camper, U.S. Army Combine stats: 6-2, 225 lbs, 4.66 in the 40, 4.22 shuttle, 30-inch vertical jump, 28 bench press reps. of 185 lbs. ... 430-pound bench press) from Huber Heights, Ohio, Wayne, in order to find out what Ohio's top linebacker (and perhaps top prospect overall) was going to do.

I reached Mr. and Mrs. Freeman. Mrs. Freeman said, "Marcus is with the track team in Kentucky for a meet this weekend."

Mr. Freeman: "Marcus' events are the shot put, the discus and 4X100 relay."

I asked whether Marcus has decided what to do next weekend.

Mrs. Freeman: "Yes, Marcus and his father are coming up to the Michigan Nike Camp Saturday."
