Wayne Morgan Impressed with the Wolverines

The New York defensive back prospect was on Michigan's Campus Friday and Saturday looking to get more comfortable with the Wolverines. He talks about about Michigan, whether or not he plans to be back in Ann Arbor, and much more.

Class of 2012 defensive back standout Wayne Morgan out of Erasmus Hall High School in Brooklyn, New York is someone who would give Michigan the perfect combination of size and speed. He's nearly 6 feet tall and almost 200 pounds while still running a 4.4 forty. The Wolverine coaching staff are recruiting Wayne as corner, and this past weekend was their chance to impress a prospect coveted nationwide.

"Me and my coach went up there Friday and Saturday," Morgan told GoBlueWolverine. "We toured the campus and saw the field; also the academic side of things."

The east coast prospect has plenty of offers from schools in the region and Morgan has said distance will be a factor in his decision. Luckily for the Wolverines Wayne says academics will also play a pivotal role in his ultimate choice.

"The academics were probably my favorite part of the trip -- that and also the Big House."

According to Morgan his strengths as a corner are, "being physical and quick to the ball. " The Wolverines made enough of an impression on the talented corner to warrant a return trip to Ann Arbor, possibly in a few weeks.

"My coach said we could make it up to the spring game (April 16th), so we'll see about that one."

With plenty of visits scheduled the Brooklyn native says his decision is still months away.

"Either before the season, or in February, is when I'll make my decision."

Securing another visit could go a long way in determining the Wolverine's chances with the talented DB.
