Fairless Hills (PA) Pennsbury OL J.J. Denman has mentioned Michigan as one of the top schools on his list for much of his recruitment. Despite that, the programs that he had already visited appeared to have an obvious advantage over the Maize & Blue. After his trip to the Great Lake State for Saturday's spring game, the Wolverines are now on more equal footing.
"It was my first time to Michigan and things were really good," said Denman. "I liked being in the Big House."
Though Ann Arbor was the latest stop on a long visit itinerary, the Wolverines made a very distinct impression.
"(Michigan) is definitely up there up with the places," the Keystone State star stated. "It definitely has a lot of things that stand out more than others. I don't really have an order, but it is definitely up there like near the top. Not the very top because I don't have a top school yet, but it is definitely in the group I like."
"I've been a few places so far and the only one that I have planned 100% is next week I'm going to Wisconsin. After that I'll take visits back to all the schools I want to go back to and take my officials. I'll definitely take one (to Michigan)."
That's if Denman lets his recruitment play out that long. There's a chance it could come to an end after he concludes his unofficial visits.
"I think I am going to try and get it done before my senior year," he stated. "If I do not know 100% I'll probably wait. "
GoBlueWolverine will have more on Denman in the weeks to come.
