Mo. OL Gallimore Discusses Spring/Summer

Brett Gallimore from Riverside, Mo., Park Hill South (Kansas City area) made an unofficial visit to Michigan during the Wolverine's spring practice, at which time he got one of U-M's few scholarship offers to date. Last (Tues.) night he talked to us about the visit, and about his plans for the spring and summer.

Offensive lineman Brett Gallimore is 6-5, 290 lbs., with a 5.1 in the 40, a 300-lb. bench press, and a 3.0 GPA.

We asked him: You visited Michigan recently. Did you get a scholarship offer?

"Yeah, my parents and I came up during my spring break. It was a great visit. We met with Coach Carr and he offered me a scholarship. We watched a Michigan practice, which was impressive, intense. And we got a tour of the campus."

Where else have you visited so far?

"Missouri, Kansas State, Kansas, Iowa and Oklahoma. And I'm going to visit some more schools too: Purdue, Florida, Florida State, Miami and Arkansas."

Have all those schools offered you?

"All but Oklahoma and Florida have offered me. And Florida has told me they plan to offer me."

Are you planning on going to a Nike Camp or any summer camps?

"I'm undecided about that. I may go to the Texas A&M Nike Camp but I'm not sure. And right now I'm just visiting schools, so I might keep doing that instead of going to camps."

Do you have a list of favorites?

"Not really yet. I need to see all the schools first."

Do you plan to decide early, or late?

"I'll probably make a late decision."

As a junior Gallimore recorded an eye-popping 91 pancake blocks.
