Kyle Williams Enjoys Michigan Nike Experience

GoBlueWolverine spoke with Kyle Williams following an impressive performance at the Ann Arbor Nike Camp. Williams, one of the top linebackers in the midwest, provided us with a brief but powerful update on his recruitment, naming his top 5 in order.

At the conclusion of the Nike Camp, GBD had the pleasure of speaking with linebacker Kyle Williams (6-1 1/2, 219 lbs., 4.59 in the forty, 36 1/2 inch vertical) from Bolingbrook, Ill. (Todd Howard's alma mater). Williams was one of the top performers at the Ann Arbor Nike Camp, and the friendly and outgoing star filled us in on his recruitment. As a junior he had 82 tackles, five sacks, and two interceptions. Illinois has offered him.

Do you have a top 5?

Yeah, my top five - this would be in order, is Iowa, UCLA, Oklahoma, Oregon, and then Michigan.

How much did Iowa's big season last year affect you, as far as listing them as your leader?

I'd say it had a slight effect, but I've always liked Iowa anyway.

What offers do you have so far?

I have offers from Iowa, Purdue, Illinois, and I think that UCLA is going to offer soon.

So what did you think of the Nike Camp?

It was a great experience. I really had a good time.

Do you plan to stick around and take a look a Michigan?

Yeah, I'm going to look around a little bit. From what I've seen so far, it's a great looking campus. I know the facilities are kind of old, but they still look really nice and the stadium is just incredible. So I definitely want to take a look around.
