Just wrapping up his sophomore year at Cedar Cliff high school, Adam Breneman has received some big time offers early on in his recruiting process.
"I'm actually up to 8 offers right now," the 6'5 tight end told GoBlueWolverine.
Included on that offer list is the University of Michigan; and the Wolverines displayed their level of interest by making it over to Cedar Cliff high this spring.
"Michigan offered Wednesday of last week," Breneman stated. "My coach informed me that morning that Michigan was offering and then Coach Montgomery came to the school. I bumped into him and got to meet him for a second, I can't talk with them for a long time, but we met."
Although Michigan can't contact Breneman yet, that doesn't mean he won't be proactive in starting up a relationship with the maize and blue.
"I'll be giving Coach Mallory, who is my recruiter, I'll be giving him a call later this week just to talk to him a little bit."
About to enter his junior year Breneman is way ahead of the curve as far as his recruiting process is concerned, and he already has plans to make it up to Ann Arbor soon.
"I might go there in the late summer, or go to a game there, to Ann Arbor, to visit."
Still early in his recruitment Adam hasn't and won't narrow anything down for a while, but that doesn't mean the Wolverines aren't a lock to make it into the late stages of this fight.
"Michigan has a great football program with a lot of tradition, I wouldn't put Michigan above anyone right now but they're definitely going to be a school I'll be considering."
With such a long ways to go before a decision has to be made, Adam has identified some key factors that will play into his college choice.
"Definitely, I want to be comfortable with the coaching staff. I want to be around people that I like for four years, and I want to be able to go to a school where I'll have the opportunity to get on the field early. I want to play for a team that will want me to catch the ball out of the tight end position."
Stay tuned to GoBlueWolverine for more on Breneman next week, including 7-on-7 highlights and a video interview.
