Buckingham Browne & Nichols Offensive lineman Eric Olson (6-6/270) made his fifth and final visit to Michigan this Tuesday and Wednesday. After he got home he spoke to GoBlueWolverine about the visit.
Just for the record, we have to start out by asking, did you commit?
"No, I didn't commit."
Tell us a little about your impressions of Michigan.
"The visit was awesome. I met some of the players, everyone there was really happy to be there. The facilities go without saying -- they are the best I've seen. And Ann Arbor is a great town."
What about the academic part of the visit?
"I want to major in business, and I met and talked to a professor from the business school."
As far as a timeline, Olson didn't get a sense of urgency the past two days.
"I want to make my decision soon, but I don't want to rush it."
Regarding his five finalists (U-M, Virginia, Northwestern, Boston College and Duke) - have any separated themselves?
"Well, all my visits were really good, and there were great things about all of them - every visit was a little different, and the different schools have different strengths."
And as far as a final decision, he said:
"I'll sit down with my parents and being weighing things.... and I should be ready to decide by mid-summer."
