U-M and Running Back Recruiting

Who's been offered? What's the latest?

The possible transfer from FSU, Thomas Clayton, is not going to enroll at U-M. So here is what RB recruiting looks like to us at this moment:

The (reportedly) offered kids:

- Greg Coleman (6-0, 205 lbs., 4.5 in the 40) from Iowa City, Iowa, West. He attended the U-M Nike Camp this past Saturday but didn't work out, then he made an unofficial visit on Sunday. On saturday he told us that U-M leads for him. He is one of MaxEmfingerRecruiting.com's early top 10 Tailbacks.

- Jakouri Williams (2002 U-M Camper, 5-11, 180 lbs., 4.35 in the 40) from Plaquimine, La. He recently ran a 10.4 100 meters in a track meet. He is Tom Lemming's #6 RB.

- Derron Thomas (6-0, 185 lbs., 4.45 in the 40, 32.5-inch vertical jump) from East St Johns La. One can't imagine that U-M would land both La. RB's, they'd likely be happy with one. He is one of MaxEmfingerRecruiting.com's early top 10 running backs.

- Tony Temple (5-10, 195 lbs., 10.5 100 meters, 295-lb. bench press, 3.0 GPA) from Kansas City (Mo.) Rockhurst High School. He is Tom Lemming's #11 RB.

Not offered yet:

- Andrew Johnson (5-10 1/2, 199 lbs., 4.25 in the 40, 2.3 GPA) from Pittsburgh, Pa., North Hills (transfer from Central Catholic). He told us at the PSU Nike that he'd be coming to U-M for an unofficial visit in May. He asked us about Thomas Clayton -- that's been put to rest. He is Tom Lemming's #19 RB.
