'13 OH Ath Powell looking for the right fit

One of the top prospects in Ohio for the class of 2013 is Warren G. Harding High School's Jalyn Powell. The rangy athlete made it to Ann Arbor to take in the Michigan/Notre Dame game. Find out what the junior had to say about the game, the crowd and what contact he's had with Michigan.

As Michigan continues scouring the state of Ohio for football talent, one of Ohio's up and comers came north to take it a historic game at the Big House. Warren G. Harding athlete Jalyn Powell made the trip with his stepdad and teammate, all of whom enjoyed themselves.

"I liked it a lot," Powell explained. "I liked the atmosphere. The crowd was real nice. I came with my teammate and my stepdad, they liked it as well."

At 6'1 and 190 pounds, Powell plays wide receiver and safety at Harding, a school known for sending prospects to Michigan, most recently New York Giants wide receiver Mario Manningham and Prescott Burgess. According to Powell his own situation with Michigan is beginning slowly.

"(I've received) Only letters (from Michigan). I just want to see where this goes."

Already making an unofficial visit to Ann Arbor can only help the Wolverines as communication between the two increases. According to Powell, he's just looking for a place he feels comfortable.

"I'll just go if I like the school or I feel like it's a good fit for me."
