Wideman hangs out with teammates at Michigan

2014 basketball prospect Tyler Wideman came up to Michigan and brought a few of his teammates to see what Ann Arbor was all about.

Hanging out with your friends in high school can be a cool thing -- even more so if you all are visiting a college campus to see what the next stage of your like could be like.

That is what Tyler Wideman and a few of his buddies from his AAU squad did last weekend. They came up to Michigan for the Western Michigan football game to take it all in.

"I had a good time," Wideman told GoBlueWolverine. "My teammates came up to see Michigan and we enjoyed ourselves at the game. I had Drake Harris, Daron Scott and Robert Ryan with me on the visit. It went good -- it was a good environment at the football game."

Wideman, who is an interior power player, had a chance to speak with the coaches and talk about more the just hoops.

"I talked with Coach John Beilein, and he just talked about my classes and how school was going. Coach Bacari Alexander and I were chopping it up about a lot of different things, and Coach Jordan was asking me about my Spanish class."

Tyler talked about what appeals to him about Michigan and where it is located.

"I like the campus and the environment around there. It is close to home (Saitn John, Indiana) and I have family in Michigan -- my uncles and cousins are there. I like the coaching staff, I like their offense with the way they spread the floor. I also enjoyed hanging with Jordan Morgan, John Horford and Tim Hardaway."

With the solid summer he had Tyler continues to work on his game to improve and help his high school team. Although he doesn't have to do it all because he has help.

"I am teammates with Glenn Robinson, so I am working on my shooting, my post moves, as well as trying to handle the ball better."

Wideman claims an offer from Purdue at this time, and with the way he gets after it on the hardwood, you can expect many more offers to come his way.
