Tom Lemming's #2 wide receiver is Dwayne Jarrett from New Brunswick, New Jersey. Jarrett is not talking to the press currently, so I instead queried his head coach, John Quinn.
Was Michigan by the school this month, and, if so, what did they say?
"Michigan was in here, yes. And I'm pretty sure they've called Dwayne this month. They said they are considering an offer for him. At Michigan, Coach Carr likes to make the official offers by meeting himself with the young man. And they would like to see an initial test score and Dwayne hasn't taken one yet."
"Dwayne has over 40 offers, and more are coming in daily. It's gotten crazy already. Dwayne has changed his home phone number and I'm not a liberty to give it out."
Dwayne has been listed anywhere from 6-4 to 6-6 in height, and with as low as a 4.4 in the 40. What are his true stats?
"He's between 6-5 and 6-6 and runs between a 4.4 and a 4.5 in the 40."
Does Dwayne have a list of favorites?
"With all this attention, he hasn't narrowed down his list yet. But we're going to try to narrow it soon so things settle down a little. Will Michigan be on the final list? Well, he hasn't decided for sure, but I'd say The University of Michigan would be on any kid's final list."
Is he going to any summer camps?
"We have not resolved the summer camp situation yet." (note: in early spring Jarrett had said he was planning to camp at Michigan).
As a junior Jarrett made 40 catches for 956 yards with 17 touchdowns; as a DB he made six interceptions.
