N. Car.'s Top Prospect Considers Michigan

D-lineman Demario Pressley of Greensboro, North Carolina, Dudley is generally considered the top prospect in North Carolina. He was the top DL at January's Reebock/US Army Combine in San Antonio. He also stood out at the Virginia Tech Nike Camp. I talked to him yesterday.

I asked Demario Pressley: Did Michigan visit your school this month?

"Yeah. Coach Campbell came in. Michigan hasn't called me, not yet. Well, actually, Coach Campbell has called, but he missed me, I was out."

Who has offered you so far?

"All of the ACC schools have offered me, plus Miami, Georgia, Tennessee, Notre Dame, UCLA, Penn State, and Virginia."

Do you plan to go to any summer camps?

"I plan to go to a lot of one day camps. We're going to Notre Dame, and if we go there we might as well go on over to Michigan too!"

Do you have a top five, or a favorite school?

"No sir, not yet."

Did you have a favorite school as a kid?

"I followed all the ACC teams."

What were your stats at the Virginia Tech Nike last Saturday?

"I measured 6-4, 291 lbs. I didn't run the 40 yard dash. In another camp this spring I ran a 4.96 sec. 40." (Note: in the US Army Combine this January we watched him run a 5.1 in the 40, plus an excellent 4.68 sec. shuttle, and also do a 21 inch vertical jump)."

As far as his academics he said:

"My GPA is 2.7-2.8 ... and I made an 840 on the SAT."

As a junior Presley made 97 tackles and 14 sacks.
