Allen Gant Talks Michigan Win

The Wolverine commitment and legacy took in Michigan's thrashing of Nebraska and caught up with GoBlueWolverine to talk the game and give a prediction on next weekend's opponent.

Allen Gant, who will continue his father's legacy by suiting up for the Wolverine's, was in the stands for Michigan's dominant win against the Cornhuskers.

"I thought it was a good game overall," Gant told GoBlueWolverine. "It was a good atmosphere. I thought they played really hard."

Coming in as a defender, it hasn't esc aped Gant that the Wolverine's defense and their coordinator have done a tremendous job in turning it around.

"I thought that Coach Mattison has done a heck of a job, especially with what they've been through in the past. I'm very impressed in the guys up there."

Greg Mattison already has his eyes on the future and how he'll use Gant.

"Before the game I talked to the coaches and they talk to the recruits and I talked to Coach Mattison and Coach Mallory. Coach Mattison has said that he's excited about me playing that strong safety and see's me being a blitzing safety and Coach Mallory is really excited about getting me up there. Overall we've just kind of been talking about my football season and their football season."

Gant saw a tremendous rise in his rankings as a prospect after a tremendous senior campaign, but doesn't let that get to his head.

"I really don't pay that much attention to it. I basically just go out there and do what I do best. I don't listen to all the hype and stuff because I always have to stay on task and stay focused."

Gant will be in attendance for the annual showdown between the Wolverines and their bitter rival, the Buckeye's. He already has visions of how the scoreboard will look at the end of the game.

"I will be going there with my folks, so I'm just excited about the game. I think we'll win. Off my first impression, I'm saying 31-10."
