Wide receiver Cameron Colvin (STAN Nike stats: 6-1, 188 lbs., 4.31 in the 40, 3.85 shuttle, 32.4 inch vertical, 13 bench press reps. … 2.3 GPA/16 ACT) from Concord, Calif., DeLaSalle (in the San Francisco area) told me:
"I was just at USC on an unofficial last Friday. We stayed down here and I'll be going to UCLA's Junior Day tomorrow (Saturday)."
"I just talked to Coach English (his U-M recruiter) a couple days ago. We talked about academics; I know what I have to do there. Coach English and I have a good relationship."
"My favorites, in order, are Michigan, Florida State, USC, Washington, and UCLA. I'm going to take all my official visits."
"Our summer workouts start after finals in a couple weeks." Note: I'll be dropping by now and then during the workouts.
Colvin had a modest junior season on a run-oriented DLS team, catching 14 passes for 405 yards (28.9 yards per catch) and four touchdowns. But he shot to prominence by being named the Stanford Nike MVP.
Colvin is probably underrrated as MaxEmfingerRecruiting.com's #10 wide receiver and Tom Lemming's #11 receiver.
