Joe Mathis was -- impressed.
"I've never seen anything like Michigan before," he told GoBlueWolverine. "The stadium, the history, the tradition... I went around the city and really liked that too."
"I got chills going down tunnel!"
He had an evening visit last night.
"I spent the evening with Coaches Ferrigno (his area coach) and Montgomery (U-M DL-coach) mainly," and he talked with defensive coordinator Coach Mattison as well.
So ... getting down to brass tacks -- where does Michigan stand?
"I don't have a top five," he said, "but when I do name one, Michigan will definitely be in it."
"U-M will definitely get one of my official visits - it'll be during the season."
Joe is in no hurry, however ... saying:
"I will announce my decision at the Army AA game."
BTW, the Adidas Invitational Combine hasn't started yet, but U-M commits Shane Morris, David Dawson, Jourdan Lewis are already around ... ready to work on Mathi, lol!
