Howland HS, (Warren, Ohio) corner Tony Davis (5-11.5, 180lbs, 4.4 forty, 41 inch VJ) recently visited Michigan during its annual summer technique camp. After a week of displaying very physical play on the practice fields, he left Ann Arbor with stronger sentiments toward Michigan. Tony gives GBW the latest on his recruitment.
How was your recent camp visit to Michigan?
"It was cool. I had a good time. I think I did ok. I really had to Brush up on some things. Coach English really helped me out a lot with my technique."
What coaches did you talk to while you were there?
"I spoke to Coach English and a few of the other defensive coaches."
What were your impressions of Coach English?
"I really liked him a lot as a person. He's also a great teacher."
Did you get a chance to speak with Coach Carr?
"No, I didn't."
Do you consider yourself still committed to Penn State?
"Yes I do."
Will they be the only school you visit in the fall?
"No. I'll take official visits to both Penn State and Michigan."
So, Michigan could still change your mind?
Did you set up an official visit to Michigan while you were in Ann Arbor?
"No, I haven't done that yet."
What will your final decision be based upon?
"It will probably come down to coaching. I have to go back up to Penn State in another week to see how it is up there."
When do you think you'll make your final decision?
"I'll probably make my final choice a little after my season is over."
