Akron St. Vincent-St. Mary sophomore Dante Booker (6-3/210) is one of top linebackers in the Ohio, and was on unofficial visit to Michigan this past weekend to check in on the Wolverines. Along for the ride was his father Dante Booker Sr., who talked to GBW about where things stand at this very early point in his son's recruiting process. "Yeah they did offer him," the elder Booker told GoBlueWolverine.com. "They have been showing a lot of interest."
At 6-foot-3, 210-pounds, Booker has generated offers from Michigan, Ohio State, Illinois, Indiana, Nebraska, and Penn State.
While his son enjoyed his visit to Michigan's campus on Friday, Booker Sr. says there is in no hurry to commit any time soon.
"Yeah, he has a few more years of school now," Booker Sr. said regarding a possible early decision.
And regarding Michigan, he added, "I know we enjoyed the campus. I'm pretty sure he is not ruling them out this point and time."
In the meantime Booker Sr. says the next agenda for his son, is to figure out his summer camp schedule.
"We expect to talk about camping at Michigan. We're just trying to figure out which camps we will be attending."
A camp appearance would certainly indicate serious interest, however Mr. Booker was circumspect about things, adding again that, "Like I said, he is not ruling them out at this time."
