It was short and sweet -- texting -- between GoBlueWolverine and 2013 DT Maurice Hurst 6-2/280 from Westwood MA (Xavier Bros) last night ... but it was significant.
GBW asked him, "Are you visiting Michigan on June 2nd and is it down to Michigan and Virginia?"
Hurst replied: "Yes sir."
Hurst received a Michigan offer ten days ago ... when asked for his view of Michigan, his reply was: "Michigan is a top offer."
There's been scuttlebutt that U-M's '13 commitments have been making contact with Hurst now, and the big DT confirmed that that indeed has been the case.
"I had talked to Shane (QB commit Shane Morris) before the offer," he said, and he added, "After I got the offer (the Michigan commits) were all saying to commit (to Michigan)."
Will Hurst accept the 'invite' to join the U-M 2013 recruiting class? He's already been to Virginia, so a decision is likely to come sooner-than-after after the Michigan visit.
Hurst's dad, Maurice Sr., played defensive back for the New England Patriots. And "Junior" had a great junior season with 61 tackles including nine sacks.
