Bill Spicer, head coach of Mike Hart (5-10 185 lbs., 4.5 in the 40, 3.75 GPA/1030 SAT) from Nedrew, N.Y., Onondaga told the Syracuse Post Standard Sunday night:
"He'll fit right in at Michigan. It's a great program, and they're getting a great football player. It seems to be the place for him. It's a perfect fit."
Last season, Hart rushed for 2,866 yards en route to a 13-0 season for the Tigers. Hart has led Onondaga to the state's longest active winning streak, 26 games. That includes the 2002 state Class C championship and the 2001 state Class D title.
Hart has the most points scored in a career (842), most touchdowns in a career (137) and most career 100-yard games (34). Last fall, he scored 368 points, which eclipsed his own state record for most points scored in a season of 312, set in 2001. Hart ranks first and second for the most touchdowns scored in one season: 60 in 2002 and 51 in 2001.
