Kyle Jackson (6-1, 176 lbs., 4.61 in the 40, 3.2 GPA) is a hard hitting and aggressive RB/FS who claims offers from 14 schools, including Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Nebraska, LSU, South Carolina, Clemson, and Vanderbilt. Right now Florida and Geogia Tech seem to be the teams to beat for the services of the talented running back though he says he's becoming more wide open as he receives more contact. "It's pretty quiet now but there were a lot of phone calls and letters in May. I enjoyed it as I got to talk to a lot of coaches and people. Florida and Georgia Tech are still my leaders I guess, but I want to see what kind of attention I get this season before I really say. I'm kinda open to everyone now."
Have you had any contact from Michigan?
"The Michigan coach (Scott Loeffler) came gave me an offer after their Spring Game. I've never spoken to the head coach though. Like most schools Michigan is recruiting me as a free safety, that's where I want to play in college."
Did you attend any of the Nike Camps?
"I went to the Gainsville (Fla.) camp, that's it. I'm not going to any other camps this summer. We work out at school every day from 6-8 at night so that keeps me busy."
Have you set up any visits?
"No, I'm not sure where I'm going to visit yet. I have five so I'm going to think about it and decide later."
What are the important factors in your decision?
"I want to major in Production or Broadcasting so the school will need to have a good program in those areas. Playing time is also a big factor, I'm willing to red-shirt if I have to but I'd rather not."
When will you make your decision?
"Not until after the season and I've taken all my visits."
