PG Hyron Edwards getting comfortable with U-M

The Michigan basketball program utilized the first home football game to its advantage Saturday afternoon, playing host to several recruits including 2015 East Chicago Central (IN) high school point guard Hyron Edwards.

After making it up to Ann Arbor for an unofficial visit in August, 2015 Indiana point guard Hyron Edwards came back Saturday to experience a Michigan football game at the Big House.

"The atmosphere was great," Edwards told GoBlueWolverine. "The crowd was crazy. Just the atmosphere was great to see. We had a fun time."

On Edwards previous visit with the Wolverines, the 6'1 distributor had the chance to catch up with old friends and Michigan freshmen Glenn Robinson III and Mitch McGary. Edwards hung out with the Indiana natives once again, but also had the opportunity to meet the rest of the squad and see everything the Wolverines have to offer.

"It was great," said Edwards. "I got to meet all of the guys. They just talked to me and things like that. We took a tour around the whole campus again to see the parties and stuff. I liked that."

A couple of future Wolverines took time to throw in their two cents in 2013 commitments Zak Irvin and Derrick Walton Jr. who were also up for the Air Force game.

"I talked to him (Walton) and I talked to Zak Irvin," said Edwards. "They just said Michigan is a great school and to not choose a school until I'm comfortable—one that I'm comfortable with."

Building a comfort level with Michigan will be key, and the one on one interaction with the entire coaching staff made an impression on Edwards.

"It was great," said Edwards. "We ate together and things like that. We talked about my overall grades, how school's going and stuff like that. It was pretty cool. We get a better connection every time I see them."

That continued connection with the Wolverines already has Edwards envisioning what life would be like in the Maize and Blue.

"It was big," said Edwards. "I feel more comfortable with them and stuff. If I do pick Michigan it'll be a great school I go to and I know they would take care of me."

After visiting Michigan Saturday, Edwards plans to head to Michigan State for a game this fall; so the Spartans will have their chance to make an impression as well.
