Cadogan Visits Ann Arbor

I talked Tues. noon to massive Southern Ohio offensive lineman Gerald Cadogen.

I just got off the phone with Gerald Cadogan (6-6, 317 lbs., 5.1 in the 40, 370 lb. bench press, 3.8 GPA/18 ACT {he'll retake}) from the Ohio River city of Portsmith, Ohio.

Have you made it up to Michigan for a visit this summer, Gerald?

"Yes, I went up to Ann Arbor last Thursday. It was great. I really liked the campus. I talked to Coach Herrmann, and to Coach Moeller. Michigan had already offered me a scholarship, back in June."

Who else has offered you a scholarship?

"Northwestern, Penn State, South Carolina, Wake Forrest, plus several of the MAC schools."

Did you attend any camps this summer?

"Yes. I went to camps at Ohio State, Northwestern and Penn State. I was at Boys State during the Michigan Camp."

Do you have a list of favorties at this point?

"I have a Top Three of Michigan, Northwestern and Penn State."

What do you like about Michigan?

"Number one, that they have good academics -- that's my top priority (Cadogen ranks in the 5% of his high school class). And they have good athletics too of course."

What's your decision timetable?

"I plan to take my official visits before I decide. I'd like to get up to Michigan for a game this fall too."

Cadogan is's #73 Big Ten area prospect.
