Alan Branch's (U-M Camper, US Army Combine stats: 6-6, 305 lbs., 5.2 in the 40, 4.65 in the shuttle, 2.5 GPA/17 ACT) father informed me that Alan was away at a basketball camp in Las Vegas, NV at the moment, then he would be heading to another camp in Los Angeles. As you recall Branch told us after his return from the Michigan camp in June that he may attend the Texas A&M camp. Here's what his father told me.
Did Alan attend the A&M Camp?
"No, we felt that it wouldn't be necessary, and that Alan is going to focus on enjoying his senior year of high school."
Have you made a list of Alan's top schools?
"No, we haven't done that yet but probably will sometime soon. Alan has really been involved with AAU basketball this summer, so he's been busy."
Michigan was an early leader, how do they stand now?
"Well, we were up there for the camp and enjoyed it very much. I think we were able to see a lot of things most parents of recruits don't get to see, and the coaches made a good impression on his mother and me. We haven't taken any other trips yet so Michigan is the standard we will be using."
